Post Graduate
1. Master’s degree in Computer Science would be of 100 credits, where one credit course of theory will be of one clock hour per week running for 15 weeks and one credit for project course will consist of 15 of laboratory hours. Thus, each credit will be equivalent to 15 hours.
2. Student will have to take admission and complete 75 credits incorporated in the syllabus structure of Computer Science. The remaining 25 credits shall be chosen from courses offered by the Computer Science Department or other Departments of the University/College with credit system structure.
3. Every student shall complete 100 credits in a minimum of four semesters. All Semesters will have 25 credits each.
4. The student will be declared as failed if he/she does not pass in all credits within a total period of Two years. After that such students will have to seek fresh admission as per admission rules prevailing at that time.
5. Project course should not be greater than 10% of the total credits of the degree course. Project course is equivalent to 10 credits.
Eligibility:
The candidate should have a B.Sc. degree with Computer Science as principle subject.
Admission:
Admissions will be given as per the selection procedure / policies adopted by the respective college, in accordance with conditions laid down by the Savitrbai Phule Pune University. Reservation and relaxation will be as per the government rules.
Structure of Course Duration:
The entire Programme is a Two year and four semester full time Programme.
No. of Courses: For first three semesters there will be Five courses. The fourth semester will be Industrial Training/Institutional Project and two theory courses.
M.Com – Master of Commerce
The M.Com. Course will be of Two Years duration consisting of Two part. i.e. Part I and Part II. Each part is having Two Semesters. Thus the M.Com. Course is of Four Semesters. For each Semester there will be Four Papers of 1 00 marks each. The M.Com. Degree will be of 1600 marks in aggregate.
Duration and Structure of Programme:
The M.Com (Semester pattern with Credit System) degree Programme shall be of 2 years duration divided into two parts, Part I and Part II, and 4 semesters.
Eligibility: The student who has passed any Bachelors degree of this University or any other recognized University shall be held eligible to be admitted to M.Com. Course.

Four extra credits for project work at 4th Semester (This will include credits for fieldwork, data presentation and report writing) In each Semester, there will be four papers of 100 marks each out of which 40 marks will be for Internal Assessment (attendance, home assignments, class tests, long term papers, classroom presentation and 60 marks for University Examination. Thus M.Com. degree examination, four Semesters shall be of 1600 marks and of minimum 100 credits altogether. The following shall be the course structure.
M.J.M.C.- Master of Journalism & Mass Communication
This P. G. Course has been designed and introduced by the Savitribai Phule Pune University with a particular objective of producing competent, dynamic professionals and mechanics of Communication that can cater to every need of Journalism and allied professions like advertising, public relations etc. Admissions will be through Entrance Test.
Eligibility:
Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any faculty from any statutory University.
Those who have appeared for final Degree examination may also apply for the admission to this course. However, their admission will be confirmed only after they submit their Degree mark list. All candidates are required to undergo an Aptitude Test for the admission to this course. Admissions will be given on the basis of passing merit (minimum 40 marks out of 1 00) in the aptitude test.
M.A. – Master of Arts Economics
The candidates applying for this two-year P.G. Course must have passed his/ her Degree examination with minimum 40% marks on an average conducted by any statutory University.
M.A. – Master of Arts English
The candidates applying for this two-year P.G. Course must have passed his/ her Degree examination with minimum 40% marks on an average conducted by any statutory University.
M.A. – Master of Development Planning & Administration
